ITV Dancing on Ice fans brand Westlife performance ‘ruined’ as some left confused

ITV Dancing on Ice has come under fire for “ruining” Westlife’s performance with piped in noise. The audience was turned up to 11 for the segment, which left many fans baffled and questioning whether it was live.

The Westlife performance on Sunday night was actually pre recorded, as Nicky Byrne is currently on Dancing with the Stars in Ireland.

ITV Dancing on Ice fan Penny Gleeson asked: “How can Nicky Bryne sing with Westlife & be on Dancing with the stars IRL. Which is the truthful live show? Definitely fixed. It was obvious the judges were going to pick Kimberly. Should be a public vote not down to the judges to choose. #dancingonice

Andrew McCann asked: “Which was recorded live tonight #DWTSIRL or #dancingonice as Westlife were playing their new single? Unless you had a private jet?”

Marilyn said: “Totally agree!!! Westlife tweeted to say yes it was recorded but now lets enjoy the performance?? how can you with all that shouting and screaming? wasnt even an audience there?? all piped?? SO annoying every week and many complain but they take no notice”

“Westlife performance on Dancing on Ice was pre recorded, Nicky was live on Dancing with the stars,” Maria explained. Suzi said: “If you notice, when Westlife were performing, the word ‘Live’ was removed from the screen, their performance must have been prerecorded xx”

Lynn said: “whole show has been brilliant, celebs have been brilliant. We all know how good the pros are. Disappointing that, when Westlife were performing it drew the attention away from their singing which was drowned out by people in the crowd screeching at the pros skating.”
