Greg O’Shea has confirmed that he’s single again following his secret split from his mystery girlfriend of two years.

The Irish star, who won Love Island in 2019 alongside Amber Gill, has revealed that the break-up was ‘amicable’ and he and his ‘secret’ ex-girlfriend are still on good terms.

Opening up about his recent split, Greg admitted that he’s now enjoying single life and is not actively on the hunt for love – but if a nice girl comes into his life by chance, he’s open to romance again.

Although the Olympic star never confirmed his relationship, it was rumoured that the Love Island heartthrob had been dating social media star Katie Hutchins for the best part of two years.

Greg and his mystery lady would both often post snaps from their romantic getaways on their respective Instagram pages – with the pair both enjoying a recent trip to Paris in November.

Although things appeared rosy between the pair, Greg revealed that they were forced to face their issues when they realised that they both ‘wanted different things out of life’.

Speaking to RSVP Live, the former reality TV star said: “I am not loved up anymore, I am single as of the last couple of weeks.

“It is the way that things have panned out for me. I was with a lovely girl for the last two years and we had some great times together.

“But, unfortunately, we weren’t on the same page and we didn’t want the same things out of life.”

The 26-year-old added that although it was a ‘heartbreaking’ split for him, he knew it was the right decision for them both.

“We had to make the mature decision to walk away from each other even though it was heartbreaking. Life gets in the way sometimes,” he explained.

“It was very amicable, there was no anger. We want different things in life right now, she wants to put all her effort into work and I want to be closer to someone.

“We didn’t want to live in the same place. And there was no point forcing something because we would have ended up resenting each other.”

Greg previously enjoyed a brief romance with his former Love Island co-star, Amber Gill.

The pair championed the 2019 series of the ITV dating show, but their love story was short-lived after distance became too much for them after Greg moved back to Ireland and Amber was living her best life in the UK.
