Piers Morgan forced to make big change at his home as death threat arrest made

Piers Morgan has reportedly installed a panic button beside his bed after death threats were made against him and his son.

The former Good Morning Britain star received messages online telling him he was a “marked man” and that no security measures could help him, The Sun reports.

They added that his son Spencer would “get it” if his dad was not targeted.

Piers told the publication: “People think it’s perfectly OK to make death threats to public figures on social media but it’s not — there has to be a line drawn, especially when family members are targeted.

“That’s why I reported it and I am grateful to the Met Police and Greater Manchester Police for taking it so seriously.”

He has also installed a panic button by his bed on police advice according to the paper.

He later issued a statement on Twitter and Instagram as he posted a picture of the story, writing: “Cowardly threats have consequences.”

Fans of the controversial broadcaster quickly rushed to support him.

Melungeon wrote: “Sorry you had to go through this :(“

Lyn added: 2@piersmorgan No matter how much you disagree with someone, this should never happen. And if they feel that strongly about you, why in the world are they following you?”
